Every lot we buy goes to an independent lab, and the certificate for that lot is published here. Not a brand-level certificate from three years ago — the report for the batch that is actually in your bag, matched by the lot number printed on the front.
What we test for
- Identity — that the species in the bag is the species on the label, and that it is fruiting body rather than mycelium grown on grain.
- Beta-glucans — the number that tells you whether you bought mushroom or starch.
- Heavy metals — lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury, reported as micrograms per serving against the threshold, not as a pass/fail tick.
- Microbial — standard food-safety panel.
Fall Drop 01 · First Light
Status: certificate in progress. The lot has been submitted and the report is not back yet. It will be published on this page, and emailed to everyone who ordered, before a single bag ships. We are not going to guess at numbers in the meantime, and we are not going to print a dose we cannot evidence.
Why the lot matters
Chaga is wild-harvested and every lot is a little different. A certificate for a different batch tells you almost nothing about the one in your kitchen. That is a large part of why a drop is 300 bags and not 30,000 — one lot, one extraction run, one report.
Closed drops stay up
Certificates are never taken down when a drop sells out. If you bought it, you can always come back and read it.
